The chalet has an excellent position in the village. Supermarket, boulangerie, numerous restaurants and bars are within 1 – 2 minutes walk (there are two very good ‘eateries’ within 50m). The ski slopes and lifts are a couple of minutes easy walk away.

Two ski lifts are open during the high summer season allowing easy access (without hard work) to the mountains and alpine paths.

At the moment, the chalet is split into two units (roughly down the middle). We call the two sides ‘Petit Colisa’ and the ‘Grand Colisa’. Whilst they are both traditional alpine style, Petit Colisa has retained more of the original features whilst Grand Colisa is more modern in style.

The left hand part is the Petit Colisa (as you look at the front). It has a kitchen/sitting/diner with a pull out double sofa bed, separate WC and separate bath/shower room.

Petit Colisa also has a small bunkroom (currently one bed with a second to be completed) plus a double attic room adjoining and above the bunkroom. In total Petit Colisa currently has beds for five people (two to three people though is a nice number and saves the need to use the double flic-flac bed in the sitting room). This side of the chalet has a TV and DVD/CD player.

The larger apartment (RHS) is Grand Colisa and has a kitchen/diner/sitting room with pull out double sofa bed. There is a shower room with washbasin and separate WC. Also downstairs is a separate bedroom that has a double bed/settee. There is a mezzanine above (and adjoining) the bedroom which has a single bed reached by Alpine ladder. Adjoining the mezzanine is a pleasant attic bedroom with limited headroom that has two further single beds.

In Grand Colisa there are beds for eight people in four adjoining areas and the living room (four or so people though in our opinion is a good number without a squeeze). This side of the chalet has dishwasher, TV, video player, satelite system and CD/cassette/radio.

Both kitchen/diners are fully equipped. The two sides of the chalet combined, will currently sleep 13 maximum in a mix of double ‘flick-flak’ beds, doubles, and single bunks/beds.

The chalet is centrally heated and thermostatically controlled.

Both sides of the chalet have quilts, pillows and blankets. Towels, sheets and pillowcases can be provided through a local company (who will charge), or you can bring your own with you.

Le Colisa is a basic, homely and good value chalet that can be rented either as one complete unit for a larger group (or two families) or as separate units. Prices vary according to summer and winter high and low season rates. It is a privately run and owned chalet for people who like to get out and enjoy the Savoie mountain life in any season.
